t- 6 days

I can't believe I'm going to be a mother (to a human...I'm already a mother to a fur baby!!) in 6 +- days!!!

The Dr. Seuss nursery is ready and cleaned, the clothes are washed and folded, our bag is packed....

Now what?!

I'm dying here. It's not that I'm that uncomfortable. Sure, I have little feet in my ribs and it's hard to breathe and I pee every 5 minutes, but it's not THAT bad. I've heard of a lot worse.

It's this WAITING GAME that has me going insane. Knowing that he could make his grand entrance any day now, but not knowing exactly when is driving me crazy. With every little pain, cramp, or tightening in my belly, I have googled "what do contractions feel like..." thinking OK THIS IS IT! But it never is. :-/

I guess all I can say is..... stay tuned!

Thank you! I wish I had come up with it on my own - but I totally copied it from Pottery Barn! ;)

What a great job you did on that room! Be patient, I think I heard somewhere that the average pregnancy (when not messed with) is 40 weeks plus 6 days...your dates might even be off a little, or baby just wants extra time. In any case, you will not be pregnant forever. Don't let them induce you! Enjoy these last few days of quiet, of just being two, of sleep and relaxation. I also am getting towards the end, but keep reminding myself to stay in the "now" and treasure every moment. I wish you the best for your labor and delivery. Remember to stay home as long as you can! Watch a movie, take a warm bath, walk, cook something. First births are usually 24-36 hours. Can't wait to hear all about your little one!

Such excitement! Remember that he is half Honduran, so I'm sure he'll be late. ;-)

Hannah, I had an old-fashioned doctor who did not believe in messing with nature. Brent's due date was July 26 and he FINALLY induced my labor on August 12. Talk about playing the waiting game! I had Braxton Hicks contractions for the last 2 months, so I was really walking on eggshells waiting for the real thing. I swear if the dr. had not induced, Brent would still be in there.

BTW, I'm sure you figured out this is Amy! Guess I should change my user name - I only used to comment on Brent's blog when he was in Panama, so Mom fit at the time!

Are you having the baby in the States or in Honduras? Best of luck!
